Good workouts but not enough explanation on form

I have bought almost ten workout apps throughout the years and they are usually cumbersome… So I tend to quit and end up wandering in the gym doing random exercises. They also have a log so that you don’t have to carry around a notebook… Most of all, the exercises are phenomenal. Centr makes it easy to commit, and I’ve improved my fitness, developed muscles, improved strength, flexibility, and balance. I’ve loved all the trainers who guide, encourage, and make workouts as enjoyable as possible.

Sometimes, you get all the best content right away, and the rest of the workout catalog consists of duds. You’ll know after about five weeks if an app can keep you motivated. You also get access to healthy recipes and tips on nutrition and exercise. I’ve been working out religiously for 10+ years.

The lifting app space is super annoying because you don’t have a standard file format like you do with endurance sport (.fit). So if you start with one and decide you want to switch then you basically have to lose all your history and start from scratch. But with Strong I can see all my previous workouts, all my previous lifts of a specific exercise, and I can easily copy/paste the workout from Strong to a TrainingPeaks comment as text for my coach to see. Strong isn’t really actively developed anymore, Hevy is getting regular updates. A web interface is great if you’re making new workout routines if you don’t enjoy pecking around on your phone doing this stuff.

The workouts are presented in the form of videos, typically featuring a trainer who guides you through the activity while speaking to you. Sometimes, the app displays videos of a trainer performing exercises with a voice-over that provides tips and counts down the time.
